Muscovites were warned about calls from fraudsters on behalf of alleged school administration

In Moscow, cases of fraud on behalf of alleged employees of educational institutions, who request a code from the application "Gosusgosluzhby" to continue studying in the second half of the year, have become more frequent. This was reported on January 13 in the press service of the Department of Education and Science of the capital.

"Fraud cases are increasing: you can be called on behalf of the school administration and request a code from SMS from "Gosuslugi" to continue studying in the second half of the year," - noted in the Telegram-channel.

The Department of the capital also added that employees of educational institutions never request codes from SMS, and notified not to provide data to fraudsters.

Earlier, on January 11, Ashot Oganesyan, founder of the DLBI data leak intelligence and darknet monitoring service, told Izvestia that if fraudsters gained access to "Gosusluga", the user should go to the MFC and change the password, as well as the number to which SMS codes are sent. Having regained access to the profile, it is necessary to analyze what exactly the attackers did and cancel these operations.
