Manturov and Slovak Deputy Speaker of Parliament Danko discussed trade relations

Russian First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov has discussed bilateral trade and economic cooperation between Russia and Slovakia with Deputy Chairman of the Slovak National Council Andrei Danko. This is stated in the message of the Russian government in Telegram on January 13.
Manturov pointed out that Moscow is open to a constructive and equal dialog with Bratislava.
"We remain open to a constructive and equal dialog with our foreign partners," the message quotes the words of the first deputy prime minister.
The Slovak delegation arrived in Moscow earlier in the day. The visit will last until January 15. At the same time, Poland did not allow the airplane with the delegation of the Slovak parliament to fly through its airspace, the sky was closed for the flight. Permanent Representative of Russia to international organizations in Vienna Mikhail Ulyanov said that this refusal of Poland is beyond imagination.
In his turn, the vice-speaker of the Slovak parliament Tibor Gašpar said that the delegation's visit to Moscow was a signal to other EU countries about the need to hear Russia and dialog. He added that the Slovak authorities were eager to familiarize their citizens with the Russian side's vision on a wide range of issues.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fitzo held talks in the Kremlin on December 22, 2024. The latter described his visit to Russia as a reaction to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky 's (term of office expired on May 20, 2024) statement about the termination of Russian gas transit to Europe. The Ukrainian conflict was one of the topics of the meeting.
