Theater and film actress of Polish origin Barbara Rylska died at the age of 88 years. This was reported in the Union of actors of Polish scenes.

"We regret to announce very sad news. Died Barbara Rylska", - quotes the message of the Union edition Onet.

The actress passed away on January 11.

Rylska was born in Warsaw on January 20, 1936. She graduated from the Warsaw Academy of Dramatic Art and began her acting career at the Warsaw Comedy Theater, then performed at the Warsaw Ludowa Theater, afterwards, until 2013 - at the Kvadrat Theater.

She gained fame for such films as "The Quartiers", "The Mansion on the Green", "Adam and Eve", "Wanted, Wanted", "Julia, Anna, Genovefa", and also performed as a singer. Rylska was nicknamed the Polish Marlene Dietrich.
