Businessmen in the Leningrad region were detained for bribes to the deputy head of the traffic police department

Two businessmen were detained in the Leningrad region on suspicion of large-scale bribery. This was reported on January 13 in the press service of the investigative Department of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia in the region.

"A criminal case has been initiated against an individual entrepreneur and the General Director of a commercial organization on the grounds of a crime under par. "a", "b" part 4 of article 291 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Giving a bribe on a large scale by a group of persons by prior conspiracy")", - said in the Telegram-channel of the department.

According to the investigation, in 2024, the suspects gave monthly bribes to the deputy head of the State Automobile Inspection Department in Vyborgsky district "for general patronage and connivance in the service". The total amount transferred amounted to 970 thousand rubles.

In the SU of the Investigation Committee of the Russian Federation for the Leningrad region specified that the investigation of the criminal case continues.

Earlier, in December 2024, the Federal Security Service (FSB) and the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia suppressed illegal activities by detaining an employee of Roszheldor for taking a bribe on a particularly large scale.
