Train service suspended on Japan's Kyushu island after earthquake


Train traffic on the Japanese island of Kyushu was suspended after a powerful earthquake, NHK TV channel reported on January 13.
The measures affected the Nippo and Nitinan lines, as well as the line leading to Miyazaki Airport.
The 6.8-magnitude quake struck near Kyushu earlier in the day. The tremors were felt in Osaka. A tsunami warning has been issued for Kyushu, Shikoku, Amami and parts of Honshu Island.
