Senators have prepared a package of bills that would establish measures to protect Russians from financial fraudsters. This was announced by Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matvienko during a meeting with journalists on January 13, timed to coincide with the Day of the Russian Press.

"We have prepared a whole package of initiative bills aimed at protecting our citizens - recipients of financial services," she said.

Matvienko added that "a whole serious package" of projects will be promoted for the guaranteed protection of Russian citizens who receive financial services.

According to him, obtaining fraudulent data to steal an account on "Gosuslugi", messages in messengers on behalf of the head and calls allegedly from Russian agencies will be common.
