A Khmelnytskyy court in Ukraine has convicted a man who attacked employees of the territorial recruitment center (TCC, the equivalent of a military recruitment office) with a gas pistol. He was sentenced to probation for one year and six months. About it on January 13 reported the edition "Strana.ua" with reference to the court register.

"In Khmelnytskyi condemned a man who attacked the police and the TCK with a gas pistol, trying to save a neighbor from mobilization", - stated in the publication.

According to the publication, in July 2024, the man witnessed how the police forced his neighbor to mobilize. He intervened, after which the officers used tear gas against him. The man, in turn, sprayed them with a gas gun and fled.

The Ukrainian was sentenced to three years in prison, but then the sentence was changed to probation for one year and six months.

It is noted that the attacker has a disability, and at the time of the incident he "showed mild mental retardation, due to which he was not fully aware of his actions".

Earlier, on January 5, it was reported that employees of the TCC used gas against those who barricaded themselves in the military enlistment office in the Kiev-controlled part of Zaporizhzhya region. The men were mobilized, but tried to take refuge in one of the premises of the military enlistment office. TCC workers tried to break the door and then sprayed gas.

Before that, on January 3, in Poltava region, TCC employees broke a man's leg. The police began an investigation into the incident. The military commission refused to comment on the situation.

Martial law in Ukraine has been in force since February 2022. Then the President of the country Volodymyr Zelensky (powers expired in May 2024) signed a decree on general mobilization. Later, the Verkhovna Rada repeatedly extended its effect. Most men between the ages of 18 and 60 are forbidden to leave the country. In April 2024, the head of the Kiev regime approved the law on tougher mobilization.
