Cookies "Peanut with boiled condensed milk" and "Kartoshka" produced by two Russian factories were banned for import to Belarus because of the presence of preservatives in their composition. This is evidenced by the data of the Register of dangerous products of the State Committee for Standardization of the Republic.

"The product of milk-containing condensed boiled with sugar used food additive declared in the labeling - sodium benzoate preservative E211, unacceptable for use in the manufacture of milk-containing products and flour confectionery," reads the explanation of why "Oreshek" does not meet the requirements, published on the website of the register.

It is specified that the prescription was issued on January 10, and refers to those cookies, which are produced by the trademark "Lyubimaya Lavka" of the Penza company "Capital".

As for the cookies "Kartoshka," produced by the Chelyabinsk confectionery factory "Kolos," they do not meet the state requirements of Belarus, because they contain the preservative sorbic acid in an amount exceeding the permissible level. This injunction was also issued on January 10.

The sale of these two types of cookies is prohibited. And in order for them to return to the shelves, manufacturers need to eliminate violations.

Earlier, December 11, 2024, BelTA reported that Belarus had banned buckwheat groats of the highest grade of one of the Altai producers, because it does not meet the requirements for boiling: the process takes 29 minutes, while the norm is 25. On the same day, the food industry department of Altai Krai reported that the manufacturer was working to clarify the circumstances of the ban with its trading partners in Belarus.
