Two people wounded in Kursk region as a result of an AFU attack


Two civilians in the Kursk border region received moderate injuries as a result of an attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was reported on January 13 by Alexander Khinshtein, acting governor of the region.
The AFU attacked a civilian car in Belovo district with the help of a drone on the road between the village of Belitsa and the village of Giryi.
"The pensioner spouses who were in the car were wounded to varying degrees of severity. The man born in 1950 has shrapnel wounds to his arm, his wife born in 1951 has multiple shrapnel wounds to her chest and legs," Khinstein wrote in his Telegram channel.
The victims were given first aid, after which they were hospitalized.
The Deputy Governor of the Kursk region recommends residents of the region to refrain from traveling to the "gray zone".
Earlier, on January 9, it was reported that a civilian was wounded during the shelling by the AFU of the village of Tetkino in Glushkovsky district of Kursk region in the evening of January 8. His life is not threatened.
The AFU attacked Russian positions in the border areas of Kursk Region on August 6 last year. The situation in the region was recognized as a state of emergency of federal character. The liquidation of the Ukrainian militants who invaded the Russian territory is underway.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
