The Cabinet of Ministers approved the program of state guarantees of free medical care for 2025-2027.

The Russian Government has approved the program of state guarantees of free medical care for 2025-2027. This was reported in the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers on January 13.

"Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin by his resolution approved the program of state guarantees of free medical care to citizens for 2025 and the planning period of 2026 and 2027," - stated in the message.

It is noted that as part of the formation of the document on the instructions of Russian President Vladimir Putin, the program includes a section that defines the procedure for providing medical care to certain categories of combat veterans. In addition, the program added a provision that suggests that patients with severe life-threatening and chronic diseases should be prescribed by doctors drugs that are not registered in the Russian Federation.

In order to improve the efficiency of treatment of oncology patients, a mandatory condition for prescribing them separate schemes of antitumor therapy was established.

In addition, a section "Sanatorium-resort treatment" was introduced, systematizing the organization of treatment, which will increase its availability to patients. It is also noted that for residents of remote settlements the possibility of organizing inpatient care at home with the provision of medicines is envisaged.

"It is important to continue to do everything necessary to improve the quality and accessibility of medical care throughout the country," the words of the head of the government Mikhail Mishustin are quoted.

Earlier, on December 29, 2024, the government approved the program of state guarantees of free medical care for 2025. It is noted that in 2025 the costs of providing all types of medical care will exceed the current ones. It was indicated that the volume of cancer care in day hospital will increase by 18%, and in round-the-clock - by 12.7%. Also, the coverage of treatment of patients with viral hepatitis C will increase by 2.5 times, and the number of in vitro fertilization (IVF) cycles will increase by 13%.
