The Russian army liberated the village of Peschanoye in the DNR


The Russian Armed Forces have liberated the village of Peschanoye in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on January 13.
The settlement was liberated by units of the Center group of troops. In addition, in the area of Dzerzhinsk, Shcherbinovka, Dimitrov and others, the manpower and equipment of 10 brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) were hit.
In this direction, Ukrainian militants lost more than 615 servicemen, seven armored combat vehicles, including M113 armored personnel carriers, VAB and MaxxPro armored vehicle.
The day before, the Russian army liberated the settlement of Yantarnoye in the DNR and the village of Kalinovo in Kharkiv Region. It is specified that the settlements were liberated by units of the "West" and "South" groups of forces. The Russian army defeated the AFU's manpower and equipment in the areas of six localities of the regions.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
