A criminal case has been opened in St. Petersburg against a debauchee, who beat up his mother, a blockade-ridden woman, in the entranceway. This was reported on January 13 in the main investigative Department of the IC in St. Petersburg.

"A criminal case has been instituted on the indications of a crime under p. "g" part 2 of article 117 of the Criminal code of the Russian Federation ("Torture committed against a person known to the guilty person to be in a helpless state") against a local resident", - stated in the message of the department in Telegram-channel.

According to investigators, the man from October 1, 2024 to January 3 beat his 86-year-old mother, who survived the siege of Leningrad, who due to her age could not resist.

At the moment, the question of electing a measure of restraint for the man is being decided. Law enforcement authorities continue to establish all the circumstances of the incident.

It became known on January 4 that the man beat up his mother-blockade victim. Witnesses of the beating were neighbors, who said that the pensioner ran out of the apartment and asked for help. According to the neighbor of the pensioner, her son was walking around with a stun gun, and the neighbors constantly heard the woman screaming from the apartment.
