Operators of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of Rosgvardiya have destroyed a radar station (radar) AN/TPQ-48(V)2A of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Kursk region. This was reported by the press service of the agency on January 13.

It is specified that the object was liquidated with the help of a kamikaze drone.

The Rosgvardia press service said that AN/TPQ-48(V)2A is designed to detect, classify and locate enemy artillery assets, mainly mortars and installations for launching unguided rockets.

On the same day, the Russian Defense Ministry published footage of the destruction of armored and automotive equipment of the AFU by the calculation of FPV-drones of the Rubicon center on the Kursk direction. It is specified that the objects were found in the forest belt.

The AFU attacked Russian positions in the border areas of the Kursk region on August 6 last year. The situation in the region was recognized as a state of emergency of federal character. The liquidation of the Ukrainian militants who invaded the Russian territory is underway.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
