St. Petersburg hosted an ice musical "Mama" for children of SWO participants

In St. Petersburg, children of participants of the Special Military Operation (SMO) became spectators of the ice show "Mama" brought from Moscow. The performance was a unique interpretation of the fairy tale "The Wolf and the Seven Little Goats".

Both young artists and Olympic medalists performed on the ice. The audience also saw dancers, magicians and gymnasts, and live music and colorful costumes added magic to the atmosphere of the performance.

Ilya Averbukh, the director of the ice musical and Olympic silver medalist in ice dancing, said he hoped that children watching their peers would have the desire: "I also want to take part in such a performance along with the champions".

Two-time world champion Evgenia Medvedeva performed as a magpie, while Olympic bronze medalists Oksana Domnina and Maxim Shabalin played a mama goat and a wolf.

"I really like this production, I like this music, the atmosphere, I like working with the guys," Shabalin noted.

Anna Skripko, the wife of the SWO participant, said that her husband tries not to share details about combat missions with the family so as not to alarm them. She said that she sends him various videos from home, as they are very dear to him.

"He watches all the videos. And he is not the only one watching. Everyone watches there because they share. All together," she shared.

Skripko also sent her spouse a video from the musical "Mama". The husband reported that he really liked the performance.

The ice show "Mama" became a bright finale of the New Year holidays, giving the audience an atmosphere of magic, hope and wonder. It is held on the initiative and with the financial support of Joint-Stock Bank "RUSSIA", the organizers were the Ice Palace and the Government of St. Petersburg.

Earlier, on December 29, 2024, the audience of the New Year's show at the Gorbunov Palace of Culture shared their impressions of the production "The Wizard from Veliky Ustyug". Thus, Irina Shilovskaya came to the event with a friend and their five children, among whom the youngest is only five months old. According to her, the children liked the production.
