Ex-Pentagon advisor called for Zelensky's arrest

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, whose term of office expired on May 20, 2024, should be in prison until a plan for his death penalty is developed. This opinion was expressed on January 12 by former Pentagon adviser Colonel Douglas McGregor.
"Zelensky belongs in prison, at least until we develop a plan to execute this man, because he is a criminal in the worst sense of the word," McGregor said on the air of the YouTube channel Deep Dive.
According to the former Pentagon advisor, Zelensky himself and the security services under his control have done more to destroy statehood in Ukraine than anyone else in the world.
This is how the ex-advisor commented on the words of the head of the Kiev regime about Russian President Vladimir Putin in an interview with Lex Friedman. In the interview with the American journalist, the Ukrainian leader not once used foul language, in particular commenting on the refusal of Western countries to impose sanctions on Russia before the special operation.
During the interview, Zelensky also said on January 6 that he had offered US President-elect Donald Trump to sell weapons to Kiev for $300 billion from Russia's frozen assets. He noted that this was one of the security guarantees for the country. Reacting to this, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova pointed to Zelensky's strengthened corrupt ties with the West.
Later, on January 9, Verkhovna Rada deputy Oleksandr Dubinsky mocked Zelensky for the consequences his scandalous interview had caused. He commented on the news that the final military aid package to Ukraine provided by the outgoing US administration will amount to $500m.
Western countries have stepped up military and financial support for Kiev amid Russia's special operation to protect Donbass, which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, after the situation in the region worsened due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
