Chernyshenko spoke about the growth of investment in the tourism industry

Investments in Russia's tourism infrastructure increased by 44% in the first nine months of 2024. This was reported by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko on January 13.

"In the first nine months of 2024, private and public investments in the tourism industry increased by 44%, reaching 652 billion rubles. This is almost 1.5 times more than in the same period of 2023," his words are quoted in the message of the Russian government in Telegram.

In addition, Chernyshenko noted that 239 projects with a total investment volume of 1.2 trillion rubles are being implemented under the soft loan program.

Minister of Economic Development of Russia Maxim Reshetnikov, in turn, added that with the growth of domestic tourism the interest of entrepreneurs in the creation of tourist infrastructure is increasing: new health resorts and mountain resorts are opening, the quality of service is improving. In this regard, in the national project "Tourism and Hospitality" was retained support program, as well as added a separate federal project for the production of domestic equipment for this sphere.

Earlier, on January 8, Chernyshenko called 2024 a record year in terms of the number of travels in Russia. According to Rosstat data, the top three leaders in the number of foreigners' trips include Khabarovsk Territory (204%), Amur Region (142%) and Primorye (112%). At the same time, the largest tourist flow is from China. Moscow (11.1 million trips) and Krasnodar Krai (9.4 million) are the leaders in absolute terms. St. Petersburg (5.8 million) closes the top three.
