Private jet crashes into crocodile-infested river in Australia


The pilot of a light airplane has died after the aircraft crashed into a dam in Australia and plummeted into a crocodile-infested river. This was reported by 9NEWS on Monday, January 13.
Fogg Dam in North Carolina is a protected area inhabited by crested crocodiles. The crash occurred at 10:20 local time (03:20 Moscow time).
There were two people on board - a 63-year-old pilot and a 29-year-old female passenger. The man died on the spot, the woman was not injured. The passenger was evacuated from the scene by helicopter and taken to the Royal Darwin Hospital for examination.
The causes of the crash remain unknown. An investigation has been launched.
Earlier, on January 11, it was reported that at least 10 people were killed in a plane crash in northwestern Colombia. None of those on board survived.
