Former adviser to US President-elect Donald Trump Steve Bannon on January 12 promised to "kick out" US entrepreneur Ilon Musk before the inauguration.

"I will ensure that Ilon Musk is kicked out by the time of the inauguration. He will not have a blue pass with full access to the White House. He will be just like everyone else," Bannon told Corriere della Sera.

He said Musk, as a racist, should return to his homeland of South Africa.

"Musk's only goal is to become a trillionaire.<...> Why do we allow South Africans, the most racist people on Earth, white South Africans, to comment at all on what is happening in the United States?" - the ex-councilor stated.

Earlier, on January 6, Musk spoke out about the significance of Trump 's election victory for the future of civilization. In his opinion, if the Republican had not won this election, civilization would have been lost.

Prior to that, on December 19, 2024, HuffPost reported that the rumor that Musk is allegedly the shadow president of the United States came after the billionaire spent a day engaged in discussions about a bill to fund the government and argued with Republicans, while Trump remained silent. At the time, it was also reported that a number of Republican congressmen were proposing that Musk be nominated to be speaker of the US House of Representatives.

Trump announced in November that Musk and businessman Vivek Ramaswamy would lead a new structure - the Department of Government Efficiency, which will also oversee the fight against corruption.

The election for the 47th president of the United States took place on November 5, 2024. In the national vote, Trump received 51% of the vote, while Democratic candidate Kamala Harris received 47.4%. Later, the Republican, speaking to supporters, called himself the 47th President of the United States and said that his goal as head of state considers the end of military conflicts in the world.

On December 18, the US electoral college officially confirmed Trump's victory in the presidential election. He gained 312 votes. At the same time for his opponent, Harris, 226 Americans voted.
