Bezos said there is no threat to his business in Trump and Musk's collaboration

Amazon founder Jeff Bezos said he did not think SpaceX CEO Ilon Musk would use his ties to US President-elect Donald Trump to undermine his business. The entrepreneur said in an interview with Reuters on January 12.
"Ilon has made it clear that he is doing this in the public interest, not for personal gain. And I take his words at face value," said Bezos, founder of Blue Origin, a company that competes with SpaceX.
In addition, the Amazon founder added that he is "very optimistic" about the space agenda of the new administration.
The agency recalls that the billionaire is currently at Cape Canaveral (Florida). There he is participating in the debut launch of Blue Origin's New Glenn, a 30-story-tall rocket that is expected to disrupt SpaceX's dominant position in the market.
Earlier on January 11, US entrepreneur Ilon Musk's SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket carried 21 satellites into orbit for the Starlink internet coverage network. The flight, which was a record 25th for the rocket's first stage, was made from the Cape Canaveral space station in Florida.
On December 4, 2024, SpaceX announced that the Falcon 9 rocket had launched 24 mini-satellites into orbit for the Starlink Internet coverage network.
