Soldiers of the Cossack regiment told about the work to dislodge AFU fighters from Chasov Yar

Soldiers of the Volga Cossack artillery regiment continue to push Ukrainian formations out of Chasov Yar in the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR) and the nearby forest areas.

The artillerymen's positions have already deployed their guns, the D-20 cannon of 152 mm caliber. The task for the Russian fighters has long been familiar, but no less responsible - to support the attacking aircraft with fire.

The motto "one for all and all for one" is clearly at work in the combat zone. Russian scouts identify the target, the command center calculates the coordinates and time for the strike, and the artillerymen need to finish what they have started.

"Here, in fact, everyone taking part is a link. If one person falls out, the mechanism falls apart. SWO is a team game," said a fighter of the Volga mixed artillery regiment of the Volga Volunteer Corps with the call sign Grad in a conversation with Izvestia correspondent Dmitry Zimenkin.

Despite the fact that the fighters of the Southern Group of Forces follow international news about the intention of future US leader Donald Trump to help end the armed conflict quickly, Russian servicemen are used to relying only on themselves, without regard for Western promises. For them, the most important thing is to achieve all the goals of the NWO.

"When they promise us something, persuade us, we agree out of the goodness of our hearts, and then we realize how we have been deceived. So my personal opinion, subjective, we need to finish everything to the end," said a fighter of the mixed artillery regiment "Volga" of the volunteer corps with the call sign Shmel.

Earlier, on January 8, the Defense Ministry reported the capture of 18 fighters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) near Kurakhovo in the DNR. Also, units of the Southern Group of Forces took more favorable lines and positions. They defeated the formations of two mechanized, airmobile brigades of the AFU in the areas of Seversk, Belogorovka, Chasov Yar, Vasyukovka and Yantarnoye in the DNR.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
