- Fighters who took part in the liberation of Dachenskoye told about the details of the assault

Soldiers of the 35th Independent Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade of the Center group of troops who took part in the liberation of the village of Dachenskoye in the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR) have given details of the assault. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on January 13.
In the course of combat work, the assault units in cooperation with the group's reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) calculations identified and hit the main firing points and positions of Ukrainian militants in the area of the settlement.
After the coordinates of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' (AFU) manpower and combat vehicles located in the forest belts were passed on to artillery calculations for firing strikes, all the identified targets were hit.
The attack aircraft then proceeded to clear the point of hiding Ukrainian servicemen. Part of the AFU units left the battlefield, leaving weapons and ammunition, as well as their dead and wounded.
"There were five platoons moving in through a forest shelf. Three platoons moved through one woodland shelf, two platoons moved through the right woodland shelf. We took turns in twos or threes so that there was no crowding and we were not seen. The guys from the fifth platoon, for example, were very good at taking the footholds. The second one took four footholds and neutralized them completely. After that we went to the houses. We had to clear some houses. We cleared them," said shooter Vladislav Shustrov.
Having liberated the village of Dachenskoye, the fighters of the compound installed the Russian tricolor.
Earlier, on January 6, it became known that units of the "South" group of troops had completely liberated the town of Kurakhovo - the largest settlement in the southwestern part of Donbass. At the same time, the village of Dachenskoye was liberated in the Donetsk people's republic.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
