Sgt. Kuznetsov shot down a kamikaze drone on approach to Russian positions

Private Kirill Yakovlev operated an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) and destroyed a firing point of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). On Monday, January 13, the Russian Defense Ministry reported on the exploits of Russian army servicemen in the zone of the special military operation (SMO).
A Russian army assault team was ambushed by the AFU, the enemy placed a firing point on a hill and opened fire. Yakovlev determined the coordinates of the Ukrainian machine gun crew, prepared an attack drone and directed it to the designated point. Having carried out several ammunition drops from the drone, the operator determined that the enemy firing point had been destroyed. The Russian attack drones continued the mission without obstacles.
The Russian Defense Ministry also noted the brave and decisive actions of Staff Sergeant Artur Kuznetsov, who spotted an enemy drone approaching a Russian Armed Forces (AF) stronghold while he was at an aerial observation post.
First of all, Kuznetsov contacted the command via radio and reported the approach of the kamikaze drone. The serviceman then took aim at the UAV and opened fire. The Ukrainian drone exploded in mid-air without harming the Russian troops.
Earlier, on January 12, the crew of a Russian tank, while carrying out a combat mission to make a passage in mine and explosive barriers equipped by the AFU on the approaches to the stronghold, conducted a diversionary maneuver that allowed the Russian Armed Forces to take possession of the Ukrainian stronghold.
Prior to that, on January 11, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that Private Alexei Panarin detected a sabotage group of the AFU and confronted the enemy as part of the head patrol, as a result eliminating the enemy machine gun crew.
