Russia will gradually come to the abandonment of the USE. This was stated by the head of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans' Affairs, Yaroslav Nilov, on January 12.

According to him, the revision of some of the rules of the USE, as well as the beginning of the discussion on the integral system of assessing the knowledge of schoolchildren indicates a gradual abandonment of the exam.

"It is for this we criticize the USE and propose to remove it, he killed the integrality, killed the integrated approach, killed the possibility of multifaceted assessment of knowledge, depth of knowledge, the ability to think", - commented Nilov in a conversation with News.ru.

He explained that the replacement will be replaced by a new format for assessing the knowledge of schoolchildren, which will be based on the advantages of the USE, as well as the Soviet and Russian education systems.

The head of the Duma Committee also emphasized that the new evaluation system will allow to continue education for those who really "reach for knowledge", rather than guessing the right answer from the proposed options.

Earlier, on December 10, 2024, Valery Fadeev, head of the Council for the Development of Civil Society and Human Rights (CDHR), said that schools should introduce an integral assessment of graduates' knowledge. He noted that the average score could be taken into account when entering a university together with the results of the USE.
