Bundestag deputy urged US to withdraw troops from Germany

Bundestag deputy from Sarah Wagenknecht's Union for Reason and Justice party, Sevim Dagdelen, called on January 12 for U.S. troops to leave German territory.
"We can no longer afford to keep 37,000 American troops in Germany. That's why we say: Americans, go home," the Die Zeit newspaper quoted her as saying.
In addition, the MP noted that it is necessary to remove American nuclear weapons from Germany, among other things. According to Dagdelen, Germany does not want a conflict with Russia, on the contrary, it wants peace.
The MP added that "vassal loyalty to the US" must end.
The day before, Romania's independent presidential candidate Calin Georgescu said that the Mihail Cogalniceanu military base in Constanta (southeastern Romania), which will be the largest NATO military base in Europe, could be used as a springboard to start a war against Russia. According to him, the silence of the United States and its allied countries about what is happening in Romania shows their complete misunderstanding of the situation.
Military expert Vladimir Evseev noted in a conversation with Izvestia that the establishment of the largest NATO military base in Romania is still more of a plan than a reality. According to him, now there is a combat group of the alliance's troops of up to 1.5 thousand people on the territory of the country, and next year it is planned to be increased to a brigade of 4 thousand troops. The specialist believes that the construction of "Mihail Kogalniceanu" implies the deployment of this very brigade.
