Air defense forces have destroyed three unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) over three Russian regions in half an hour. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry on Sunday, January 12.

"From 10:30 to 11:10 Moscow time, on-duty air defense means destroyed three Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles over the territories of Belgorod, Kursk and Bryansk regions," the ministry said in a statement.

Earlier in the day, the Defense Ministry reported the destruction of one Ukrainian drone overnight. At the same time, the interception of a drone of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the territory of the Bryansk region was reported by the governor of the region Alexander Bogomaz. According to his information, there were no casualties or damage.

The AFU is trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the beginning of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to Ukrainian shelling.
