Russia has been conducting a special military operation to protect civilians in Donbas since February 24, 2022. The Russian Defense Ministry reported that units of the "West" group of troops took control of the village of Kalinovo in Kharkiv Region, while units of the "Southern" group of troops liberated the village of Yantarnoye in the DNR.

Also during the day, the Russian Armed Forces (AF) hit the infrastructure of military airfields and Ukrainian equipment in 139 areas.

The enemy lost more than 60 servicemen, five vehicles, a field artillery gun and the Plastun electronic reconnaissance station in the area of operation of the Dnepr troops grouping unit. An ammunition depot was also destroyed.

The defense ministry added that the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) lost an M113 armored personnel carrier and an American Bradley infantry fighting vehicle, a Turkish-made Cobra II armored fighting vehicle, as well as three vehicles and seven artillery pieces in the combat zone over the past day.

In addition, Russian air defense means destroyed 55 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the AFU.

In total, 652 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 40,132 UAVs, 590 anti-aircraft missile systems (SAMs), 20,492 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,508 multiple rocket launchers (MLRS), 20,465 field artillery and mortars, 30,179 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed since the beginning of the special military operation.
