Three people killed and 27 injured in bus accident in DNR


A bus with passengers went off the road and overturned in the Donetsk People's Republic, killing three people and injuring 27 others. This was reported on Sunday, January 12, in the press service of the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.
"At the moment it is established that as a result of the accident three passengers were killed and 27 (among them four minors) were injured," - said on the portal of the "Interior Ministry Media".
The accident with the bus, which was carrying passengers on the route Krasnodar - Donetsk, occurred at 5:30 Moscow time on the highway Donetsk - Khartsyzsk - Amvrosiyivka near Ilovaysk.
It is preliminarily established that the 59-year-old driver did not take into account road and weather conditions, failed to cope with the management and left the roadway through the oncoming lane. Employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate arrived at the scene of the accident to clarify the circumstances of the accident.
To eliminate the consequences of the accident were also involved 13 specialists and three units of equipment of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, reported in the Telegram-channel of the agency. At the moment they have completed their work at the scene. It is specified that there were 37 passengers in the bus.
The Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the DNR opened a criminal case. The circumstances of the accident are established by investigators, who appointed a number of examinations.
Earlier, January 5, seven people were injured when a tourist bus overturned into a ditch on the highway in Karelia. It was reported that there were more than 40 people in the cabin. According to the police, the driver failed to control the bus on a bend.
