Russian forces destroyed an AFU vehicle by FPV drone in the Kursk border area


On the Kursk direction, the FPV-drone unit of the Rubicon test center for advanced unmanned technologies destroyed a vehicle of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on Sunday, January 12.
"UAV operators of the Russian Defense Ministry's Rubicon test center for advanced unmanned technologies detected a vehicle transporting AFU servicemen in the Kursk region," the ministry said in a statement.
The vehicle was destroyed by an FPV drone.
The ministry noted that the vehicle of the evacuation group and enemy personnel were also hit.
The objective control footage shows the sighting and precise striking.
Earlier, on January 11, the crew of a Su-34 supersonic fighter-bomber of the Russian Air and Space Forces (VKS) struck armored vehicles and personnel of Ukrainian troops in the border area of the Kursk region. The strike with aviation bombs with a universal planning and correction module was carried out on reconnaissance targets.
The AFU attacked Russian positions in the border areas of Kursk Region on August 6 last year. The situation in the region was recognized as a federal emergency. The liquidation of the Ukrainian militants who invaded the Russian territory is underway.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
