Defense Ministry reported one destroyed UAV over Russian territory

Air defense means have eliminated one Ukrainian drone overnight over Russian territory, the Russian Defense Ministry said on 12 January.

"During the past night, on-duty air defense means destroyed one Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle," the ministry's Telegram channel reported.

It is specified that the drone was destroyed over the territory of the Bryansk region.

Earlier in the day about the interception of a drone of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the territory of the Bryansk region reported the Governor of the region Alexander Bogomaz. According to his information, there were no casualties or damage.

The previous evening, three villagers in the Bryansk region were injured as a result of shelling by Ukrainian militants from MLRS. An administrative building was also seriously damaged.

The AFU is trying to strike Russian territories against the backdrop of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to Ukrainian shelling.
