Air defense forces destroyed an AFU drone over the territory of the Bryansk region

Air defense forces have intercepted a drone of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the territory of Bryansk Region. This was reported by Governor Alexander Bogomaz on January 12.

"Over the territory of the Bryansk region, the air defense forces of the Russian Ministry of Defense detected and destroyed an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) of aircraft type," he wrote in his Telegram channel.

According to preliminary information, there are no casualties and destruction, operational services are working on the site.

Earlier, on January 9, Bogomaz said that air defense forces intercepted an AFU drone in the Bryansk region. There were no casualties or damage.

Before that, on January 8, the governor of the Bryansk region reported about the destroyed UAV over the region. There were no casualties and no destruction.

The AFU is trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the beginning of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to Ukrainian shelling.
