- In Yemen, 10 people killed and 65 injured in gas station and gas storage facility explosion

In al-Bayda province in Yemen, 10 people were killed and 65 injured in an explosion of a gasoline filling station (FFS) and a gas storage tank. This was reported by Yemen Online on January 12.
The explosion, which occurred in the Zaher district, set off a chain reaction that ignited two neighboring gas stations and nearby commercial warehouses.
The gas station was crowded with customers at the time of the explosion, causing chaos as civilians tried to flee the burning complex.
A local government spokesman said at least 10 people were killed and more than 65 injured in the gas station explosion.
"Authorities are still investigating the cause of the explosion, which remains unclear," Yemen Online informed.
Earlier, on December 17, 2024, one person was killed and four injured in an explosion at a gas station in Uzbekistan. The Emergency Situations Department specified that emergency services localized and extinguished the fire at the gas station. The cause of the explosion was violations of the technological process and safety rules during the discharge of liquefied gas.
