Firefighters have completely extinguished a fire in Belgorod zoo
The fire in the zoo hangar in Chumaki farm in Belgorod region, during which six zebras died, has been completely extinguished. This was reported on January 11 in the department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the region.
"At 18:30 announced the localization of the fire, at 18:40 - elimination of open burning, at 18:52 - complete elimination of the fire," - reported in the press service of the department.
A total of 20 people and six units of equipment were involved in the elimination of the fire, including 16 people and three units of equipment from the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
Earlier on January 11 in Belgorod region there was a fire at the zoo in the farm Chumaki, during which six zebras died. The Russian Emergencies Ministry reported that the fire engulfed a frame tent room on the territory of the zoo. The fire was localized at 60 square meters.
Later, the Belgorod Region Prosecutor's Office reported that an inspection on the fact of the fire and the death of animals in the zoo was organized to check compliance with legislation on fire safety and protection of wildlife.
