Sochi residents reported a new earthquake

Residents of Sochi again reported on Saturday, January 11, about the tremors felt in different parts of the city.

Thus, according to eyewitnesses, the earthquake occurred in the Central district of the resort, in the Bytkha microdistrict.

As specified "RIA Novosti" head of the seismological station of the resort Elena Karpovich, the sensitivity of the evening tremors is estimated at about 4-5 points, the magnitude is still being clarified.

Earlier in the day Karpovich reported that several earthquakes of magnitude 3.5 occurred in Sochi on Saturday morning. The presumed cause of the series of earthquakes was called the growth of young mountains of the Caucasus.
