Unknown persons with aerostatic balloons detained in Belarus on the border with Lithuania

Border guards of Belarus detained violators with balloons and gas cylinders at the border with Lithuania. This was reported in the State Border Committee of the country on January 11, BelTA informs.

It is noted that the incident occurred at night on January 10. Border guards in Lida detained five citizens of Belarus, who were traveling in three cars in the area of agrarian town of Hogorodno, Voronovski district.

In their cars were found more than 100 gas cylinders, 28 GPS-trackers, nine balloons, as well as more than 30 SIM-cards, registered to the mobile operator of Lithuania. The vehicles and their cargo were seized and taken to the Border Guard Unit. Further proceedings are being conducted on the incident.
