In Saxony, more than 5,000 Germans tried to disrupt the AdG congress

More than 5 thousand Germans protested in Saxony to disrupt the congress of the Alternative for Germany (AdG) party. Images from the scene of events on Saturday, January 11, published "Izvestia".
They show a large number of people with placards walking, shouting slogans and using smoke bombs. Employees of operational services are on the spot.
The convention is to be held on January 11 and 12. The protesters headed to the venue at 08:00 (10:00 Moscow time).
Earlier, on December 22, 2024, a poll showed that the co-chair of the Alternative for Germany (AdG) party Alice Weidel became the most popular among the candidates for the post of Chancellor of Germany. According to the poll conducted by the Institute for Public Opinion Research (INSA), 24% of those surveyed voted for Weidel.
Before that, on December 20, American entrepreneur Ilon Musk called the AdG party the only salvation for Germany. So he commented on the publication of a German political activist who condemned the candidate for chancellor Friedrich Merz for his negative attitude to the idea of Germany following the example of Ilon Musk and Argentine leader Javier Miley in economic policy.
