Ukraine told about large losses of the AFU due to low-quality ammunition

The Ukrainian Armed Forces are suffering significant losses due to the use of low-quality ammunition. This was stated on January 11 by Maria Berlinskaya, founder of the Ukrainian Aerial Intelligence Support Center.
"Most of the losses of our military are due to low-quality ammunition and IEDs (improvised explosive devices. - Ed.)," she wrote in her Telegram.
According to her, in the best cases, Ukrainian servicemen lose their eyesight, hands, and their faces are burned because of defective ammunition.
Berlinskaya suggested that the Minister of defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov and his team to engage in the manufacture of devices. Thus, in her opinion, the quality of ammunition "will immediately improve".
Earlier, December 6, 2024, the Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Oleksiy Goncharenko (included in the Russian Federation in the list of terrorists and extremists) reported the seizure of a batch of 150 thousand defective mines, which were previously supplied to the AFU.
Prior to that, on December 5, Verkhovna Rada deputy Oleksandr Dubinsky said that Umerov was preparing to flee the country because of the scandal with the purchase of non-existent weapons. According to him, the head of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry could earn $1.5bn with the help of his actions.
On December 3, it was reported that Umerov was summoned to the Rada in connection with the scandal related to the supply of low-quality mines to the Ukrainian army.
In November last year, Ukrainian social networks posted videos of AFU soldiers complaining about low-quality mines. It was specified that when attempting to fire the ammunition got stuck in the barrels of the guns or "spit out" at a couple of dozen meters.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the backdrop of the aggravated situation in the region.
