Yakutia's head Aysen Nikolayev has met with a soldier of the Russian Armed Forces Andrei Grigoryev, who defeated a serviceman of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in hand-to-hand combat, and presented him with a knife. Nikolaev reported about this on January 11 in his Telegram.

"The feat of Yakutian, brave fighter Andrei Grigoriev with the call sign Tuta, in a brutal hand-to-hand fight defeated the enemy from the AFU, became famous throughout the world. Today I met with Andrei personally and thanked him for his military service," the publication says.

The head of Yakutia said that they had a warm dialogue, during which the fighter with the call sign Tuta told about being in the enemy rear, the destruction of several Ukrainian soldiers, the elimination of armored vehicles and ammunition depot of the AFU.

Nikolayev noted that Grigoriev himself would not tell about his feat, as he is very modest and does not consider himself a hero.

"On behalf of all Yakutians with great gratitude, I presented Andrei with a new Yakut knife. Let him cherish it! Yakutia is proud!" - concluded the head of the Sakha Republic.

The press service of the All-Russian People's Fund (ONF) reported on January 4 that Yakut fighter Grigoryev had defeated an AFU fighter in hand-to-hand combat. The fight took place after a Ukrainian drone attack. Tuta, along with a coworker, was supposed to set up a Russian flag in Trudovoye in the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR). The Ukrainian militant tried to induce the fighter to surrender as a prisoner, but Grigoryev got into a fight with him and used a knife. The Russian Armed Forces soldier managed to overpower the enemy, who after the fight asked to let him "leave quietly."

On the same day, Tuta said that he and the Ukrainian militant realized that only one would come out of the fight alive. According to him, the AFU military man was much taller and larger than he was. Tuta thanked his instructors for good combat training.
