White House announces President Biden's farewell address to Americans

The White House has announced the farewell address of US President Joe Biden to the Americans on January 15.
"On Wednesday, January 15, at 20:00 (January 16, 04:00 Moscow time), the President will deliver a farewell address to the nation from the Oval Office," the administration's press service informed the White House website on January 10.
The inauguration of US President-elect Donald Trump is scheduled for January 20. Leaders of technology industry companies, such as OpenAI, Meta (recognized as extremist and banned in Russia) and Uber, plan to attend Trump's inauguration.
On January 10, Reuters, citing a spokesman for the aircraft manufacturer, reported that Boeing would donate $1 million to the inauguration of U.S. President-elect Donald Trump. The aircraft maker has donated $1 million to the last three presidential inaugurations, including Donald Trump's in 2017.
Earlier on December 23, 2024, representatives from automakers Ford Motor and General Motors (GM) each donated $1 million and provided vehicles for the inauguration of US President-elect Donald Trump.
Before that, on December 11, The Wall Street Journal wrote that the American corporation Meta donated $1 million to Trump's inaugural fund in order to establish relations with the future leader of the country. In the past, the company did not contribute to Trump's foundation in the 2017 election and sponsored incumbent U.S. leader Joe Biden 's foundation in 2021.
The US Congress on January 6 approved Trump's victory in the 60th presidential election held on November 5, 2024. The decision was announced by incumbent US Vice President Kamala Harris, who competed with Trump as a candidate.
