The State Duma recalled the indexation of social pensions in April

In April 2025 will be indexation of social pensions, the amount of payments will increase by 14.75%. This was reported to "RIA Novosti" by Deputy of the State Duma from the party "United Russia" and a member of the Committee on Budget and Taxes Nikita Chaplin on Saturday, January 11.

"From April 2025, social pensions will increase by 14.75%," he said.

Chaplin explained that the size of the social pension will increase to 15,456 rubles by the end of the year.

Earlier, on January 10, a member of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans Affairs Svetlana Bessarab said that Russian pensioners may once again increase their pensions in February. She noted that insurance pensions were increased by 7.3% on January 1. At the same time, it is not excluded that in February the Government may carry out additional indexation.

Before that, on January 8, Chaplin said that in 2025 Russian pensioners will have to adapt to new economic conditions when planning their pension savings.
