- The Strela-10M SAM system destroyed more than 30 AFU UAVs in Zaporizhzhya region within a month

The crew of the Strela-10M antiaircraft missile system (SAM) of the air defense unit of the Novorossiysk Guards Airborne Airborne Forces' airborne assault mountain formation of the Dnipro group of troops has hit more than 30 drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the skies above the Zaporizhzhya Region over the course of a month. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on January 11.
While on duty, an airplane-type reconnaissance drone of the AFU was detected approaching Russian artillery positions.
After receiving the coordinates of the aerial targets, the SAM system defeated the drone, preventing it from reaching the positions of Russian servicemen.
In the last month alone, this air defense calculation of Russian paratroopers has accounted for more than thirty downed various Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
"There is always work to be done. UAVs of the basic airplane type, such as "Furia", "Valkyrie" and so on. The enemy aircraft so far in our direction as such is not observed," - said the platoon commander with the call sign Golden.
On permanent duty at the paratrooper anti-aircraft gunners is the MRU-B (reconnaissance and control module - battery) on the basis of an armored personnel carrier (BTR-MDM) "Rakushka". This system allows for round-the-clock monitoring and detection of enemy aircraft.
Earlier, on January 6, operators of anti-tank guided missiles (ATGMs) and UAVs of the anti-tank unit of the 58th Combined Arms Army of the Dnipro group of forces destroyed a pickup truck and AFU manpower in the Zaporizhzhya region.
