- The head of the Sovfed commission pointed to the visibility of Zuckerberg's words about "freedom of speech" in the United States

Revelations of the CEO of Meta (recognized as extremist and banned in Russia), Mark Zuckerberg, say a lot about "freedom of speech" in the United States under the Democrat administration. This was reported on January 11 by the head of the Council of the Russian Federation (CF) Commission on Information Policy Alexei Pushkov.
"The revelations of Zuckerberg, who began to re-shoe as soon as he realized that President-elect Donald Trump could win the election, say a lot about 'freedom of speech' in the United States under the Democrat administration," he wrote in his Telegram channel.
In Pushkov's opinion, Zuckerberg, who defected to Trump, once again confirmed that "a liberal dictatorship has reigned and in many ways continues to reign in the US media."
At the same time, he noted that in Europe with democratic hegemony things are even worse.
Before that, on January 10, Meta's CEO spoke about the censorship in the United States in an interview with podcaster Joe Rogan. According to him, members of the administration of current U.S. President Joe Biden contacted the management of social networks Facebook and Instagram (owned by Meta, a company recognized as extremist and banned in Russia) and demanded to remove publications that spoke about possible side effects of coronavirus vaccines.
Earlier, on January 7, Zuckerberg said that Meta was ending its fact-checking program and lifting restrictions on statements on its platforms. In addition, he said, the company intends to remove various restrictions on a number of topics.
Before that, on August 23, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova noted that Western countries, using levers of pressure on their media, do not just put all events in a favorable light for themselves, but construct their own reality.
Back in February, Russian President Vladimir Putin emphasized in an interview with American journalist Tucker Carlson that the United States controls almost all major Western media outlets, and against this backdrop, American propaganda is very hard to defeat.
