People's Artist of Russia Yevgenia Dobrovolskaya died at the age of 61. This was reported on January 10 in the Chekhov Moscow Art Theatre.
"Our Zhenya, infinitely talented and fearless <...> Last year she fought with a serious illness. Literally fought - persistently, without losing hope. But with all the thirst for life and stubbornness of spirit physical strength was finite", - stated on the page of the theater in "VKontakte".
Dobrovlskaya was a leading actress of the Art Theater, she worked in it for 33 years, playing on its stage dozens of major roles.
The staff of the theater expressed condolences to the relatives of the artist - sons Stepan, Nicholas and Jan, daughter Anastasia and all those who were close to her.

Dobrovolskaya was born in Moscow. In 1987, she graduated from GITIS (course Lyudmila Kasatkina and Sergei Kolosov), four years later came to the troupe of the Chekhov Moscow Art Theater. She was married to Soviet and Russian film actor Vyacheslav Baranov (1983-1986), actor Mikhail Efremov (1990-1997) and cinematographer Dmitry Manannikov (since 2009).
She is known as an actress of theater, film and television series. During her career she has starred in more than 100 projects, including "The Irony of Fate. Continuation", "I Trust You", "Heavenly Court", "Queen Margot". In 2005 she received the title of People's Artist of Russia.
