Sobyanin opened a bicycle pedestrian bridge over the old bed of the Moscow River
A new bicycle pedestrian bridge across the old bed of the Moskva River in the Nagatinsky Zaton district has been opened in the capital. It will ease the way to the metro station of the same name, said in his official Telegram channel Mayor Sergei Sobyanin.
The construction connected the parts of the district separated by a water body. Its length is 216 meters. To emphasize the expressiveness, the concept of delicate lighting of the main structural elements was developed.
For the residents of Korabelnaya, Rechnikov and Sudostroitelnaya streets the way to the subway has been reduced three times - from 19 to 6 minutes. In addition, it became easier and more convenient for passengers of regular river transport to get from the subway to the pier.
Over the last three years, five pedestrian bridges have been built in the capital. Plans for 2025-2027 include the construction of four more: across Novinki Bay (two bridges), across the Moskva River to Ostrovnaya Street and towards Fili Park.
