A psychologist gave some tips for getting back into work mode after a vacation
When returning to the working mode after the holidays, it is worthwhile to establish a sleep schedule, psychologist, schema therapist Lyudmila Shulga told "Izvestia" on January 10.
She also emphasized that the important point remains the level of contact with oneself and one's feelings.
"If there is some resistance at the thought of the return of workdays, it is important to realize what exactly causes these feelings. There can be many reasons, everyone has their own. Maybe there is a feeling that rest was not enough, then it is worth paying attention to the work-rest balance in life in general and ask yourself: "Is what I call rest really filling me with energy and strength, rather than taking them away?"" - noted the psychologist.
According to her, it may turn out that a person's resistance and unwillingness to work is caused by dissatisfaction with the salary. Then it is necessary to evaluate the possibility of career growth in your company or look for offers that exist on the market, she recommended. In addition, if there is an underlying conflict with coworkers, it should be resolved.
"In my practice, I notice that so many people have a completely disrupted sleep pattern during the holidays, this is probably the first thing you should pay attention to and make an effort to equalize it. Mental apparatus is important "recharging", it occurs in certain phases of sleep, if the quality of sleep suffers, it will affect the entire emotional state of the person," - explained Shulga.
Earlier, on January 8, Olga Ulankina, an expert physician at the Hemotest laboratory, told Izvestia that in order to help the brain set up for productive work, it is important to prepare psychologically. You can make a plan of tasks for the next week or month, write out everything that requires attention in the first days at work, outline goals for the year or quarter. This practice helps to reduce anxiety.
