A criminal case has been opened against a teenager who planned to set fire to a school in Kursk

A criminal case was initiated against a 16-year-old teenager, who came to school № 54 in Kursk with a hammer and lighter fluid and planned to start a fire. This was reported on January 10 by the investigative department (SU) of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia's Investigative Committee (IC) for the region.

"At present, investigators are conducting an inspection of the scene of the incident, as well as urgent investigative actions aimed at establishing all the circumstances of the incident," - stated on the website of the agency.

In the SU of the Investigative Committee of Russia in the Kursk region specified that there were no victims as a result of the incident.

On the same day, a teenager wearing a hat, balaclava and with a hammer in his hands broke into school No. 54 in Kursk. According to preliminary data, he committed this act because of a complicated relationship with one of the students of the institution. When the unknown person tried to leave the school building, he left a bag containing knives and a bottle with flammable liquid. The attacker was detained on the territory of the dacha massif SNT "Michurinets". Specialists are currently working with him.
