Media reported a problem in Ukraine in recruiting and training conscripts

Ukraine is increasingly facing problems with the recruitment and training of conscripts. The Austrian newspaper Die Presse wrote about this on January 10, citing the words of experts.
"<...> the structural weakness of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is increasing. Insufficient training, inefficient use of personnel reserves and the impossibility of withdrawal are the problems that, according to experts, require urgent solution," the newspaper writes.
The newspaper quotes Simon Schlegel, an analyst of the International Crisis Group, who believes that under the current conditions in Ukraine there are no people to properly train new recruits, as experienced soldiers cannot leave the combat zone.
Also, experts believe that Ukraine exaggerates official data that it mobilizes up to 30,000 people per month.
Earlier, on January 9, Ukrainian territorial manning centers (TSC, an analogue of military recruitment offices) filed about 500,000 applications to search for persons liable for military service on suspicion of evading service. It was reported that the police have the right to detain wanted citizens and hand them over to TCCs. In addition, they can be deprived of their driving license in absentia or fined.
Martial law in Ukraine has been in effect since February 2022. Then the country's President Volodymyr Zelensky (powers expired on May 20, 2024) signed a decree on general mobilization. Later, the Verkhovna Rada repeatedly extended its effect. Most men between the ages of 18 and 60 are forbidden to leave the country. In April 2024, the head of the Kiev regime approved the law on tougher mobilization.
