A teenager with a hammer and lighter fluid broke into a Kursk school

A teenager in a hat, balaclava and with a hammer in his hands broke into school №54 in Kursk. This was reported on January 10 by Alexander Khinshtein, acting governor of Kursk region.

It is specified that the 16-year-old young man also had two knives and lighter fluid in his bag.

"The young man ran into the building, broke one window in the corridor and, despite the pursuit, jumped out into the street unhindered, smashing the glass of the front door with a hammer," Khinshtein wrote in his Telegram channel.

When the unknown person tried to leave the school building, he left a bag containing knives and a bottle with flammable liquid. According to the governor-in-chief, the guard activated the alarm system, and four minutes later the Rosgvardiya officers arrived on the scene. However, the young man managed to escape.

Soon the intruder was detained on the territory of the dacha estate SNT "Michurinets". At present, specialists are working with him.

Hinstein noted that the identity of the suspect was established. The teenager studies in another school, but previously trained in the institution #54. According to preliminary data, he committed this act because of a difficult relationship with one of the students.

As told in turn the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation Irina Volk, law enforcement agencies have already detained the attacker. At present, the reasons and circumstances of the incident are being clarified.

Earlier, on December 6, 2024, a teenager attacked schoolchildren with a knife and wounded one of them. Preliminary, one of the guys loudly turned on music with a Bluetooth speaker, and the second did not appreciate this action and began to stab him. The attacker was detained. A criminal case was opened under part 2 of article 213 of the Criminal Code and part 1 of article 293 of the Criminal Code ("Negligence"). He was fined 30 thousand rubles. A pedagogical investigation was also organized.

December 7, it was reported that the reason for the attack could be the attempt of two schoolchildren to stand up for the girl, who was offended by the attacker. She was found to have abrasions and bruises.

December 11, the minor accused of the attack, elected a measure of restraint in the form of prohibition of certain actions. On December 13, the court found the parents of the teenager guilty under part 1 of article 18.8 of the CAO RF ("Violation of the regime of stay in the Russian Federation by a foreign citizen or stateless person") and fined them 2 thousand rubles with administrative compulsory expulsion from the Russian Federation and preliminary placement in a temporary detention center.
