Thefire in the industrial zone in Gatchina occurred earlier in the day. According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation, the fire started in a two-story brick building. There was no information about casualties. The area of the fire amounted to 1900 square meters. m. The fire was extinguished by more than 50 rescuers and 12 units of equipment. On the fact of the incident began verification.

Later, the Government of the Leningrad region reported that the fire at the production of acetone in Gatchina localized on the area of 1200 square meters. m.

An eyewitness told Izvestia that several enterprises, including a paint production facility, are located in the area where the fire broke out. According to her, the fire looked unusual, and a cloud was rising from the scene, which "produced a fireball."
