One person killed and four injured in AFU attack on Svetlodarsk
A woman was killed and four civilians were injured as a result of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' (AFU) attack on Svetlodarsk. This was reported by the head of the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR) Denis Pushilin on January 10.
"As a result of a direct hit on an apartment building in the town of Svetlodarsk, a woman was killed and four more residents were injured of varying severity," he wrote in his Telegram channel.
Pushilin noted that emergency services are working at the scene and the victims are provided with the necessary assistance.
Earlier in the day, the AFU hit the Moloko supermarket in the Kievsky district of Donetsk. According to the Izvestiya correspondent, Ukrainian militants used HIMARS multiple rocket launchers (MLRS). According to Pushilin, two people - a man and a woman - were injured in the attack.
Also on January 10, the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of Issues Related to Ukrainian War Crimes (JCCC) reported that the AFU shelled populated areas in the DPR's Gorlovka direction 32 times during the day. It was specified that as a result of the attacks a person was wounded, seven residential buildings, a car and two objects of civilian infrastructure were damaged.
Ukrainian militants have been shelling the territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk people's republics, as well as Zaporizhzhya and Kherson regions on a daily basis amid the special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russia on February 24, 2022.
