In Kuzbass, four attackers kidnapped a man and extorted money from him
Four residents of Novokuznetsk are accused of kidnapping a man and extorting money from him. This was reported on January 10 in the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation for the Kemerovo region - Kuzbass.
"Four residents of Novokuznetsk, one of whom has a previous conviction, are accused of committing crimes under par. "a, z" part 2 of article 126 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (kidnapping committed by a group of persons out of selfish motives), par. "a, v" part 2 of article 163 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (extortion)", - stated in the publication of the Department in Telegram.
According to its information, in January 2025, a 21-year-old man was deceived into the place of kidnapping. One of the defendants sprayed pepper spray into the victim's eyes, after which the other participants in the crime handcuffed him and put him in the car.
The man was taken to the direction of one of the settlements of the Kemerovo region, where he was demanded to give the password to the banking application. The attackers transferred more than 50 thousand rubles from the victim's account to the account of one of the figures.
"After taking possession of the funds, the defendants removed the handcuffs from the victim's hands and fled the scene. About the crime committed against him the victim reported to law enforcement authorities", - told in the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Kemerovo region - Kuzbass.
As a result of operative-search measures employees of the Department of Internal Affairs of Russia in Novokuznetsk together with investigators of the IC established and detained suspects in the commission of the crime. During interrogation, they confessed to the crime. The court chose a measure of restraint in the form of detention.
Earlier, on December 26, 2024, in Murino, Leningrad region, kidnapped a man for a debt of 50 thousand rubles. A 19-year-old young man bought a phone in installments from an acquaintance for 50 thousand rubles, but did not give the money back, because of which the latter beat him and forcibly put him in a carsharing car.
